Dr. John H. Steidl moved to Saranac Lake in the 1920s to be a staff physician at the Trudeau Sanatorium.
His sons were very young when he died. His wife, Anita, was a nurse at Ray Brook Hospital for many years.
They lived at 23 Old Military Road.
